The earliest shoot I ever did? That must be this Moorland shoot we did back in 2019.
We did the shoot mid-Augustus because that is the only time Moorland colours purple.
Something I wanted to do for a while, Is sharing my work from previous shoots. As I really like to keep my portfolio up to date, some images got taken down on our website. So to keep them in memory, I really enjoy sharing them here with their story.
2019
The Concept
The special thing about Moorland that it only is purple for 0,5 Month or so, depending on the weather conditions. So for this shoot we had to made sure that we planned everything in advance. But there were still some elements we only could hope for, like a little bit of a dewy morning and of course the sun.
Clothing
For this shoot, a clothing store provided us with the clothes for this concept. They just received their autumn collection, which totally matched our concept for the Moorland. Because there would be a little chance that the clothing would become wet, it was quite hard to find a real stylist. So the store owner which has a background in styling helped us out.
How long did the shoot take?
For this shoot, we needed to be on the location at 5:00 am! Because we wanted that early, magical morning light. The Sunrise was set for 5:42 am. So we still had some time to find out what the best spots were. We only shot until 8 I believe, and then we went to get a coffee together, because don’t forget that make-up and hair had to be done before 5 am!
Have a look at the result we took that morning.
